Jamming With Apple for 21st Century Learning

My Students

I couldn’t ask for a more loving, resilient, group of little humans! We are continuing to meet in a hybrid setting and just completed our 50th day of school. I am so glad I get to see them each day, and though the work is hard my children make it all worth it!

My Project

I’m currently teaching in a hybrid model, making it challenging at times to teach synchronously when half my class is in person, and half are at home. One of the things I have been doing is incorporating Jamboard into my lessons. Jamboard is an interactive whiteboard allowing all participants to share their thinking. We use it for things like number talks and bucket filling. Having an iPad would allow myself and the students to freely use the draw feature, making it even easier to share our thoughts. It would also make it easier to build and share presentations. I also intend to purchase an HDMI adapter so that I can share books through Kindle for easy to present read a loud opportunities between home and school. Having this technology will further enhance the 21st century opportunities I have been able to offer my students this year.
