Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach physical education to my elementary students. My students love P.E. and love being active. Currently, we have implemented programs (on a coach volunteer basis) which allow our motivated students to join city sport leagues. Participating in city sports leagues tremendously helps students develop their sense of belonging, their self esteem, their physical and mental health. In addition to several sports, we keep our students active by training them to participate in city runs . In the physical education classroom, we teach them healthy ways of of staying active and instill in them the importance of remaining active. We provide them opportunities to join sports leagues like basketball, volleyball, and soccer. My students have developed a love for exercise, sports, and games, all while making friends and having fun.
Our P.E.
program provides students a positive environment in which they create friendships, develop skills, and learn the importance of having a healthy lifestyle. We are very passionate about teaching our students. Unfortunately, as our school grows in numbers, we have exhausted our sports equipment. We lack equipment and technology necessary to accommodate our eager students. Please help us provide our students the best of physical education.
My Project
In Pullam elementary, we are all about having fun while learning. Our students participate in many activities that require music. Some of these activities are; Dancing, exercising, school parades, school dances, school running and sports camps, and many more activities. All of these activities require music. The Jbl Boombox, and JbL Xtreme will help our students enjoy the music that is necessary in these daily activities and lessons. these speakers are portable and interconnect allowing us to move to different areas in school all while enjoying music. Music in education benefits in the social realm of development. Music helps children enjoy and learn in school.
