This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at Willard Intermediate are eager to learn. What I love about these students is how willing to explore and motivated they are to learn new skills. The issue is, they are not always provided with the opportunities to do so. They come from difficult circumstances, and should be given the same opportunities as all students, everywhere. Jag Cuts will provide these students with motivation to do well currently in their academic classes because of the expectations our club has, while also motivating them to explore beyond middle school, and potentially pick up a life skill.

Jag Cuts will build self-confidence, and will potentially propel them into being productive members of our society.

It will give them the opportunity to be involved with extra-curriculars, which in turn keeps them out of potential trouble. My students will learn life skills that can easily translate into the real world.
