My Project

At our school, we will be creating our own businesses in 5th grade. This opportunity allows students to learn about the ins and outs of running a business. We will be teaching students basic skills taught within the Junior Achievement curriculum. They will learn how about goods/services, expenses, profit, and overall financial literacy.

These materials will be used for student businesses.

Examples of the business are friendship bracelets, nail salons, photo booths, book nooks, and more. The fifth graders will create their goods and perform their services with the requested materials.

After creating the materials, the entire school will be invited to the fifth-grade market. Other students will be able to purchase the goods or services that the students are selling. This will further teach students how to manage money and calculate a profit.
