My Students

We are a school of more than six hundred-thirty students, ECE-fifth grade. Our school is committed to being a collaborative learning community where rigorous academics and character education ensure the development of the whole child. Character education, personalized learning, and a belief in a growth mindset is a big part of developing our learners into successful adults.

We design learning experiences to meet the unique learning needs of each student so that all of our children develop 21st-century skills, like critical thinking and reasoning, self-direction, collaboration, invention, and innovation.

We celebrate curiosity and creativity in the development of life-long learners.

My Project

Just like the IXL math, we love the developmentally appropriate skills and the immediate feedback by standard and grade level for students to analyze and fix their own mistakes. It would be a welcomed addition to our classroom and literacy block. Building reading strategies, writing strategies, vocabulary, grammar and mechanics, during our daily five practice time, is essential for third grade reading and writing development. For example, it focuses on literary devices, sentence structure, grammar, reading skills, context clues and synonyms and antonyms, just to name a few. To support our core reading and guided reading times, students will be able to be assigned tasks and skills to focus on to practice direct instruction in class. It has been an asset to great math growth, we are looking to support our reading instruction in the same positive way.
