I've Got to Get My Teach On

My Students

The middle school students that I work with are enthusiastic about learning and especially technology. My students are self-driven and motivated to chase their dreams and future career paths. I am excited to work with these students each day because they represent what is possible. They come from a quaint, rural town with big aspirations.

Participating in this training will allow me to maintain relevance in the minds of my middle schoolers and build credibility as their instructional leader.

I want students to feel that I am relatable and reponsive to their needs.

My Project

At the "Get Your Teach On" conference, there is a multitude of presentations and workshops facilitated by master educators. The strategies that the presenters listed employ, is something that I plan to model and train my teachers to emulate as well. The students will have a more excited and engaged instructor that is always willing to "meet them where they are". My desire is to inspire and to breathe life back into sometimes lifeless curriculum.

My ultimate goal as an educator, is for my students to see learning as an exciting opportunity that has endless possibilities.

I aim to deliver content that is not only meaningful, but interesting beyond the walls of the classroom.
