Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a small school located near beautiful Lake Michigan. My students bring much welcomed life and curiosity into our classroom. My kiddos come from diverse backgrounds and have so much to share with me and each other. Together, we learn and laugh daily.

In our classroom, we are eager learners and critical thinkers.

My students enjoy hands-on learning and engaging activities.

It is my goal to make the most of every day and every opportunity I have to provide the best learning environment for my students.

My Project

Time for Kids will provide a wonderful avenue to integrate social studies into our classroom. These magazine are interesting and fun to read- kids love receiving and reading magazines!

Time for Kids is not only a great supplement to social studies, but will also serve as a practical and differentiated way to practice fluency and reading comprehension skills.

Each student will receive their own magazine each week.

As a child, I looked forward each week to reading my very own magazine made just for kids. I hope that my students will find the same joy as they look forward to their very own weekly magazine!
