My Students

My students are hard-working. The school I teach at is considered "highest poverty", and more than half of our students are from low income families. We don't have access to enough resources, so Donors Choose has been a wonderful help.

State testing is a stressful time, and my students have worked really hard to prepare for their exams.

My goal is to be able to facilitate an awesome end-of-year art project this spring. Creativity is a perfect way to celebrate success!

My Project

Our Florida state tests are demanding, and students have an opportunity to demonstrate what they've learned all year! That said, when testing is over, my students need a break. We were fortunate enough to do a painting project earlier this year, and it was quite a hit. I spoke to a local artist recently, and he confirmed that middle school students are like sponges. He believes this is the best age for children to develop artistically.

A wonderful way to end this school year would be with a fantastic art project-acrylic paint on canvas.

Having an opportunity to be creative and utilize various parts of the brain is a gift. With help from generous donors like you, this project will come to fruition.
