My students need these books on the Middle Ages because they are studying the Middle Ages and my students will be able to truly understand the times.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a very diverse group. Many of my students are English Language Learners who need the opportunity to read and learn about the past and the world around them. They also would benefit from having the capabilities of researching our world through these valuable materials.
Our school is a close knit school, with great teachers and even greater students.
With the right materials, I believe my students will excel in their reading and writing. They will be able to understand the gist of the Middle Ages stories and communicate their knowledge through discussions, readings and writings.
My students are sixth graders who are about to enter the life of young adulthood, and they should be equipped with the right materials to help them succeed in their academic lives.
My Project
The books on the Middle Ages will help my students connect to their lessons on the Middle Ages. We are starting a new series of lessons on how the adversities of young children during the Middle Ages can connect to my sixth grade students' lives. We will begin to read the monologues from the book Good Masters! Sweet Ladies/Voices from a Medieval Village.
The books that I have selected will enhance my students' knowledge and enjoyment of the history of the Middle Ages.
The history of the children from the Middle Ages will be connected to Modern Voices, so my students will understand the adversities and the likenesses of their lives to the past.
