Can you imagine not having the opportunity to travel outside of your own city, or state? For many of my students, this is life. Every year when they enter my classroom I am amazed at the lack of knowledge about our world. They deserve to know more!
My students are always eager to learn, especially when they have an enthusiastic teacher and the right tools for learning.
My classroom is very diverse, but most of my students live in poverty. Our school is 98% free and reduced lunch. It is nestled in the heart of downtown.
My Project
Time for Kids is a way that I can enhance my students learning. It allows me to teach Social Studies content, such as geography, current events, and social skills. A bonus to having the subscription is the amount of on-line resources that become available to not only the teacher, but the students. I was able to integrate reading, writing, and social studies with materials provided on-line. I would love the opportunity to use them again in this way.
The donation of Time for Kids would be a huge benefit to my students.
