My second grade students come to class each day full of wonder and eager to learn. Our small Northern California school serves students in Kindergarten-3rd grade. We are a Title 1 School where over 60% of our students are English Language Learners and 70% live in poverty. Our students and staff are amazing and we all love coming to school each day. I am dedicated to providing a balanced education for each and every student along with a safe and supportive environment. In order to do so, it is crucial that my students have the supplies and tools available to meet their diverse needs.
They had a good run, but it's time to send these desks to the retirement home. The incoming students (and beyond) are in desperate need of sturdy, dependable and clean workspaces.
These tables will promote collaboration and community within my classroom.
The students will be able to easily share ideas and engage in group projects with one another while utilizing these large workspaces. It will ease organizational issues of the common student desk, leading to increased instructional time and allow increased flexibility in student seating. Please help us if you can; your generosity will be greatly appreciated.
