This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Why are my students amazing? My students are amazing because many of them come from backgrounds that are challenging, but they never let it hold them down.
My students work hard at school, and that's why I work hard for them.
I make sure that state and city budgets don't limit my students' learning. I make sure that they get what they need to learn and to thrive in lessons big and small—and you are a big part of that!
My Project
Time for Kids magazines are written by students, for students. The topics covered often mirror those found in the regular version of Time magazine, and are written in a kid-friendly way, while still delivering the key content of the article.
Students love reading Time for Kids because it's relevant to their lives and their interests - and anything that kids love to read is a must-have for my classroom.
The subscription lasts all school year and comes with bonus online features, as well as a financial literacy, and a geography supplemental magazine once a quarter.
Time for Kids is a wonderful resource that is out of reach for our students, and unfortunately, our school. With your help, we can bring this unique and educational resource into my students' hands. Thank you for believing in public education in America - you are making a big difference for my students - and us all.
