Mrs. Hooper from Thomson GA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students cards, envelopes, and stamps so we can send each other letters during our school closure.

Our sweet southern town is home to a small section of a rural school district with 4,400 students total. The town is committed to the education of their children and is very involved in the school community. The majority of students in our school district come from low-income households; the average income in our district is $19,000 a year. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
My students come to school with a wide array of backgrounds and experiences, and they are loving and eager to learn.
However, many of our students come to school without basic classroom supplies, and budgets for materials are limited.
Schools have been closed nation wide. In an effort to continue to support my student's learning, I have created several lessons (online and paper-packet), as well as a mobile library from the trunk of my car. I meet with 1/2 of my students everyday via online conferencing, and we go over lessons, play Gimkit, and enjoy seeing a familiar face. The last two weeks have been challenging, exciting, and sometimes scary. However, today several changes were made to our new "norm." For safety reasons, teachers are no longer allowed to pass out packets and books, and our "drop off box" had to be dismantled. The 1/2 of my students with internet access will continue their web-based lessons, but I fear the other 1/2 of my students will not be as supported.
I would like to send letters, instructional materials, rewards, and books to my students via the USPS.
I have contacted several authors and have received 3 packages full of bookmarks and stickers. I would like to send my students care packages with letters, treats, stickers, and lessons. Students that complete their weekly lessons will be entered into a raffle for a weekly prize, which I will send directly to their house. Now is the time for us to encourage our students to learn from home.
With your help, my students will wail MAIL!
