Our school's students are a unique group of learners because they come from very diverse backgrounds in a primarily impoverished area in the state of Indiana. Our students belong to a Title I, free and reduced-price lunch school in urban Indianapolis. For our students, school is often their first experience ever having their own materials and learning to be responsible with them.
While our students may come to school to get an education, I want them to have fun and learn responsibility while doing so!
When our students can come to school and have an opportunity to learn life long skills, they come to school excited to learn and interact with others!
My Project
Having Classroom Connection Folders for every kindergarten student will help them take responsibility for communication from school to home. These Classroom Connection Folders will allow a safe and durable spot for our students to bring back and forth papers!
Our students are proud of their self-created work!
Giving them the Classroom Connection Folders will allow all of the kindergarten students a place to keep their work and make sure that it gets to their homes safely!
These Classroom Connection Folders are durable and should last us the entire school year. Our students will be so excited to get a very special folder all their own!
