Hybrid learning has been a new challenge for my students. They are being resilient. They are showing me and their parents how much they can do independently. Their online work is completed very well.
They like having their own schedule at home to complete their work.
It can be a struggle to manage time some days due the changing schedule.
My Project
Our snack time can get untimely some days. By the time everyone washes their hands and gets their snack out of their locker there seems to be almost no time for eating. I want to show my students the passing of time by displaying a real sand timer.
Our snack time is scheduled to be 15 minutes long daily.
The new sand timers will help my students understand how much time is passing as they are washing hands and getting ready for snack. In addition, some days students forget their snack. I want to have extra snacks available when that happens. I am requesting gluten free snacks such as veggie straws, fruit snacks and popcorn.
