My Project

My class is full of very chatty third grade students. They love to discuss current events and the trends in pop culture. They also show a huge love for science! These Scholastic News magazines and Science Spin magazines will allow students to continue their love of reading and have something to take home to keep forever.

Scholastic News magazines have weekly issues that talk about historical events, current events, and pop culture.

They also have articles where students can debate on an issue, which allows me to teach them conflict resolution and how to kindly agree to disagree with one another. They also have comprehension questions at the end of each issue, which help students practice finding text evidence to answer a question. The science magazine offers science articles that are entertaining and fun for students to read.

We would love to have these resources in our classroom!
