It's More Than A Game For These Girls! eSports Pilot

My Students

These girls are wanting to pave the way in an industry that is up-and-coming; eSports. The eSports community has been male dominated for so long, but now girls are finding their stride and realizing that it's about teamwork, strategy, communication and problem-solving that will make them successful. All of which are skills they will use beyond their high school years.

What this program will allow the girls to experience is a safe gaming world with a real future - college and professional.

These girls are excited to start a community of like-minded girls who will be creating success together.

This will be the first program offered in the state where high school students will get to be coached by rostered eSport players - super cutting edge with the hopes of building a high school team of both boys and girls.

My Project

These girls will be the first in the state to have an eSport school/University program lead by rostered players. eSports is a HUGE, up-and-coming industry and these girls are getting in on the ground floor where they could realistically explore a career in animation, graphic design, game design, storyboarding, coding, eSports marketing/sales, coaching, etc. Maybe even get a college scholarship or turn pro. The beauty of eSports is that gender or athleticism does not factor into the success of the player.

The school has a dedicated room, teacher sponsor and will have practice 2/week with the rostered college players.

The hope is to make this an on-going opportunity for all students.
