My Students

I teach a group of 3-5 year old children who are just starting to experience the world as a play to explore, discover, and learn about. We live in a small town and the demographics of the area categorize it as low-income. Many of the families that I work with struggle financially. I am trying to bring a love of learning and adventure to the eyes of the children whose lives at home are not the best.

Seeing the light's in their eyes as they have "aha" moments in the classroom is what makes each day a little brighter.

These children are for the first time learning that they have the ability to be curious and wonder about the life they are in. Giving them the space needed for this experience is why I am reaching out to you, help me provide space for the future space engineers, farmers, presidents, lawyers, and doctors to discover the foundational skills for learning.

My Project

A place to feel secure is an important aspect to learning; getting these chairs will show the children that learning is important! Children want to belong and at a young age having things that are alike creates a sense of belonging. Currently we have several different types of chairs in the classroom, many are cracked, others lack the correct size.

Help the students feel comfortable in the place where their foundational skills are being built.

By gifting us these chairs you are helping create a sense of community within our classroom.
