it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students
I currently work with an energetic group of high school students on the autism spectrum in Houston, Texas. My students are typical teenagers who are tech-savvy, enjoy listening to music and surfing the internet.
Our school is a Title I school and seventy-eight percent of the students are economically disadvantaged.
My students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face on an everyday basis, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
My students enjoy working on computers and often become upset when they hear the timer go off indicating that their time is up. We currently have only 2 desktop computers for 8 students. The Chromebooks would be a much needed addition to our classroom and allow more time for those who enjoy browsing, researching information and listening to music.
I have one student who loves googling recipes or simple science projects.
I have another student who has learned to make playlists for Zumba exercises. Using Chromebooks opens door to my students that would otherwise be closed to them. Three additional Chromebooks will keep them excited and help them become successful 21st century learners.
