Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At our charter school, we are serious about creating personalized learning opportunities for our students. We are always searching for ways to bring real-world application into our daily activities.
The classroom is usually the only place where my students can experience more than just the world in their vicinity.
My students are a diverse group of young adults who are clever, inquisitive, and need outlets to practice their problem-solving skills. They deserve their fair shot at being a part of the future.
My Project
We recently received a Silhouette cutter and a Cricut Heat Press, with the intention of making t-shirts for each of our Cohorts. The goal will be to have our ASB team make the T-shirts, while earning a slight profit to help kick start their fundraising efforts.
Our students want to use these materials to display their school pride on T-shirts, on our walls, and other miscellaneous merchandise.
Our school culture is starting to make a shift towards the positive side, and I want to encourage more of that by giving students the opportunity to display their Cohort colors as they walk through our halls.
