Do you remember seeing great science experiments and wondering how did they do that? Or even better yet, do you remember doing those science experiments? My kids would love that opportunity!
My students are 6 and 7 year-olds with curious minds and love to learn from a hands on approach.
They are great readers and have a thirst for knowledge that I am always trying to satiate. They can't get enough of science and that is a good problem to have.
My Project
My classroom has nothing in the form of science curriculum and definitely not anything for science experiments. We have been relying solely on my teacher computer to watch science experiments online and this is a bit disappointing to the students. They ask constantly if we can do that or try this, or what about that experiment. I'd love to say, "Yes, we can do that!"
In order to get to that point I need your help. My students need a computer to do research, an electricity circuit kit, and more ways to learn about electricity.
If my students could do more research that would be a great start.
We don't have a dedicated classroom computer that they are able to search on so having them use that tool is a step in the right direction. If they could build their own circuit from batteries that would amaze and inspire them. It would also help them understand electricity from a hands-on approach. They need that hands-on time with science materials and a computer. Please consider helping my students understand electricity.
