Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our community school is very diverse where many backgrounds and languages are represented. For most of our students, English is not the primary language. As a result, our students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face on an everyday basis, our school is always looking to provide our students with meaningful learning experiences.
Our students show up to school excited and ready to learn!
It is our goal as educators, to help our students not only reach the next reading level, but to keep our students motivated to learn.
My Project
It's important for our families to know what is happening in our school because communication between home and school is an important part to education. However, some parents are out of the loop because of limited access to phones or internet. The large easel that our school is requesting will display important everyday announcements and special events that are happening in our school to encourage our parents to attend these events.
Our current school easel only has three wheels, making it difficult and unsafe to wheel in and out of our school.
The new sturdy easel on wheels would be rolled in and out of school so all parents can visibly see the easel at morning drop off and at dismissal time for important daily announcements.
As a school, we are trying to increase our parent involvement, so this easel will help provide us another way to reach our parents on a daily basis to display important messages. Thank you in advance for helping out our entire school!
