Our kindergarten students enter school at a variety of levels. Some have gone to formal preschools or headstart, and others have had no formal schooling upon entering school. The important thing is that they are all excited to learn as soon as they enter the school. They love hands-on education and learn in various ways. In order to best reach all of my students I am in need of different materials to help engage their learning. This includes center activities, manipulatives, and hands-on tools. However, my classroom budget that is given to me cannot meet all of our needs. Thank you for considering helping our classroom.
My Project
Our students are encouraged to learn with their hands in as many avenues as possible. By providing them with tools such as magnetic 3D shape builders, they are not only learning about shapes but are learning how shapes can change through manipulation. By placing word cards and letter tiles in our students' hands we are allowing them to be in charge of their own learning and development through guided practice. These centers will enrich our students' academic lives and foster a love of learning.
The linking locks and magnetic number sentence building sets will allow students to engage in their math through kinesthetic learning and thinking.
Students will be able to build their number sentences with the linking locks and then create the number sentence with the magnetic pieces. By creating fun centers we are instilling a love for learning!
