My students love circle time. They deserve a proper carpet on which to enjoy one of their favorite times of our day.
I teach a Service Specific Classroom for moderate to severe autism.
My students are energetic and love to learn. They enjoy activities that involve movement, music, arts and crafts, as well as academics. Our school has a strong sense of community and we are happy to be part of that community.
The shapes on our new rug will provide a way for my students to easily find their own space at circle time. They will be more able to concentrate on the learning activities in circle time when they have a boundary that helps them know where to stay. Students can practice learning their colors and shapes in different learning activities we will participate in using our new rug.
This rug will be a wonderful colorful addition to our classroom.
Every classroom should have a clearly defined "circle time" space. This rug will provide that for our room. It will also give students a concrete way to learn colors and shapes while also having fun.
