My students need to develop sound organizational skills. The Wilson Jones 1-1/2 inch 3 Ring Binder along with Smead Index Dividers will provide them with personal space to sort and organize important class materials.
“If the fire in your heart is strong enough, it will burn away any obstacles that come your way.” -Suzy Kassem
I teach in a public middle school with close to 500 students in grades 6-8.
Over 80% of the students are Native American and are bused to and from school from two different Indian reservations. The poverty rate of the student body is so high all students receive free lunch. Many students' physical, mental, and emotional stamina is tested daily.
On the bright side, our students come to school demonstrating strength and resiliency. Each comes with his or her own unique talent, skills, learning styles and unmet needs. With your help, we can provide equal opportunity for students to acquire the knowledge and skills that foster responsible choices.
My Project
It is important to develop sound organizational skills at a young age. If a student's systems are not properly organized, tasks pile up, paperwork gets lost and valuable time is spent on finding information rather than learning.
Sorting and placing important class materials in a personal Wilson-Jones 3 Ring Binder with Smead Index Section Dividers requires working memory, motivation, cognitive skills, focus, planning, and persistence.
Mastering these skills will result in the completion of tasks more consistently. In the end, students will experience success in the classroom and obtain important transferable skills to use at school and in their adult lives.
