Help me give my students BRAINS! Literally! Brains to dissect! I am aiming to have one brain dissection kit for each group of 6 students in my classes. We also need protective goggles during the dissection. Thank you!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My AP Psychology students are bright and deserving of a fantastic hands-on neurological experience.
I am proposing a dissection for my Psychology students so they can study the parts and functions of the brain. Many of my students aspire to have careers in the medical field and I would love to give them their first experience dissecting neuroanatomical structures.
It's one thing to talk about the structures and functions of the brain, it's quite another to squish them for yourself!
My Project
Help give my AP Psychology students BRAINS!
My students would greatly appreciate the experience of dissecting brains to learn about the structure and function of neuroanatomy.
Groups of 6 students will each have a brain of their very own to dissect during class. Not only will they learn about the structure and function of the different areas of the brain but students will also hone their fine motor skills with this hand-on activity. Maybe it's not rocket science but it is brain surgery!
My AP psychology students will be able to identify and describe areas of the brain include the cerebellum, pons, medulla, cranial nerves, hippocampus, frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes, as well as other gross neuroanatomy.
I am a firm believer that you don't truly understand something until you've have the opportunity to squish it! Please give my students the opportunity to have this once in a lifetime hands-on experience.
