This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in the Bay Area in CA. A majority of my students are first-generation Americans with hardworking immigrant parents. Seventy percent of the students at my school are receiving free or reduced-price lunches.

My students are hardworking and enthusiastic learners.

They are easily motivated and enjoy attending school every day. They are always excited to learn new concepts. My students inspire me every day to be better teachers. I could not ask for a better group of students.

My Project

Throughout the school, we celebrate the holidays with special craft projects, treats and activities. If you have young children, you know that everything sent home is usually crumble up or jammed at the bottom of their backpack. To prevent this from happening, I like providing students with craft bags to take home special crafts and activities.

Depending on the holiday, students get to decorate bags.

During Christmas, students decorate gift bags for their parent gifts. Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I want students to use the craft bags to create a love monster bag. Students will use this bag to exchange adorable Valentine cards and treats from their friends.
