My Students

The fifth grade students at Mountain View Preparatory are international Baccalaureate students who are creative thinkers, who love project based learning. Our campus is one of diversity, with students who are English Language Learners, students who have special needs and a large free and reduced price lunch population. With such a diverse population our students are counting on their teachers to provide what they need to complete their amazing projects.

Fifth grade students love to ask questions which leads to research and finding the answers to those questions.

They enjoy sharing what they have learned with informational power-points and poster boards full of color photos and bright images. A

My Project

As fifth grade teachers, we supply our students with colorful maps, math and science activities that help them understand the world around them and the rich history of our country. They must know the 50 states and capitals by the end of the year. These copies are made in teachers' homes with our personal printers. The projects the students complete in class and at home have wonderful color pictures that we must print in black and white on copiers. Our campus teachers do not have access to a color printer.

This printer will allow teachers and students access to images that are clear and colorful.

Students will enjoy creating wonderful posters to hang around the classroom and campus to share what they have learned with their peers.
