My students need supplies to create and publish Literacy projects. The items that are in my shopping cart are lined paper, pens, pencils, crayons etc. Classroom basics.
Everything to say and nothing to put it down on. School supply lists are great, but the supplies always run out way before the school year does. I need extra supplies for the classroom to last me through the year.
Our school is a diverse group of students with a variety of learning levels and styles from different economic households.
They are children raised in the Delta Region of Arkansas with a high poverty population. Our school has a student supply list, but many of our students can not afford to buy them or to replenish them. I need extra supplies to keep my classroom stocked up with the basic supplies that are needed throughout the year.
My Project
In the 2015-16 school year my students will be 4th graders. They will be introduced to writing longer essays, technology based publications, and research papers. It will be a new experience for them and will require a lot of supplies to create and publish their assignments. Paper, pencils, tape, crayons, and colored pencils will be used to give my students the materials they need to produce Common Core required artifacts.
With many of my students coming from high poverty households, they can barely afford to purchase the basic supplies needed in the classroom.
Many students can not afford to replenish their supplies once they have been consumed. The supplies I have ordered, paper, pencils, crayons, colored pencils, folders, will keep my classroom stocked with the basic supplies students need to create and publish the Literacy assignments,
