My Students

I teach sixth, seventh, and eighth grade band classes, jazz band and various small ensembles. I also lead our Tri-M Music Honor Society.

My band students are passionate and motivated to do well in school.

We are a small Title I school with students of all backgrounds. Because of the economy, we receive no funding for our band program but my students continue to thrive and grow musically.

My students are eager to learn and want to succeed. We could use any assistance in providing necessary equipment and instruments to be successful!

My Project

My band students are in need of quality reeds, embouchure building tools, and ligatures to help them achieve better intonation and quality of sound. As we continue with our studies, we are focusing on a better band sound. My students have a working knowledge of sound production and intonation but have economic setbacks that don’t allow them to afford quality equipment. These tools will help my brass students with building a great embouchure and will help my woodwind students achieve a better characteristic sound! Your generosity will reach many students and will contribute to their progression in music education. Yay band!
