Help me give my students the opportunity to work safety and help students learn industry safety standards. Student learning to wear welding jackets now will help them understand the importance of safety with entering the workforce.
My students learn to weld and work with wood in our Agricultural Mechanics and Engineering classes. My goal is to have every student prepared to enter the workforce without having to be taught on the job site. Students learn the basics of welding, woodworking, and operation of different machines used in both areas. Our equipment in the shop is either outdated or we do not have. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to have an up-to-date shop so they can be confident in the career path.
My students are eager to learn ways of improving their education and experiences in using different types of machinery.
They are very passionate about what they do in the shop. They are always coming up with plans to build or make in the shop. My students work hard on their projects and have asked me many times for equipment they have seen in magazines or on the internet. Students here at school are craving for knowledge and experience to learn the operation of other equipment that we do not have. Many of the students have a desire to go work in a job-related field of welding and manufacturing.
My Project
Students will learn that safety is important in all areas. It will make students think about what might happen if they do not protect themselves. By students wearing welding jackets they will be learning industry safety standards and will be protecting their arms and body from being burned or worst.
Teaching students about being safe is the most important thing a teacher can teach.
By working in a safe manner, students learn to think about safety while at work or at home.
My goal is for students to never get hurt while on a job or at home. By teaching students the proper method of using machinery and the needed accessories to be safe.
