Mrs. Dumouchelle from Rowesville SC is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need two Soft-Kut Printmaking Classroom Packs to participate in a study of fashion design and the art printmaking.

I am a third year teacher going into her first year at the Middle-High School level. I teach at a Title 1 school which reaches children in high level poverty where 99%receive free or reduced lunch. Despite of these obstacles our school has continued to work towards Average Yearly Progress as well as support our High School Graduates in their Post-Secondary Schools. We have also won the red carpet award and has been nominated as a Blue Ribbon School.
Our students face a tough year in which our budget has been severely cut, both from the State Department of Education as well as District funds. We have very talented students and I want to give them every arts opportunity possible, but that's extremely hard to do when we lack in supplies and funds. My students have a great love of fashion and I want them to be able to explore this avenue. Through this project they will explore how art relates to their interests as well as how they can turn their passion into a career in the Fashion Design Industry.
Students will need relevant resources to explore the idea of printmaking and fashion design & prints. Students will need printmaking materials such as soft-cut printing blocks, brayer's, cutters, ink and ink pads. Students will use these materials to explore printmaking and create a new pattern or design for their "clothing line".
You will make it possible for my students to explore a brand-new type of art. Through your help students will be able to see how art processes are relevant and applicable to the world around them. Allowing them to create printed designs will create new opportunities for students to consider. I thank you in advance for any help you can give in helping our students become more creative people and explore new art and career opportunities.
