I have 26 very active Second graders in my classroom. The kids in my classroom are bright, energetic and want to learn. They are extremely creative and are always exploring. I am seeking funds to purchase more flexible seating for our classroom. My students are very active learners and I like the classroom environment to be flexible.
Every day is a start to a new adventure and I want to give my students choice.
Choice allows my students to own their education.
My Project
I have done an extensive amount of research regarding flexible seating in the classroom and I believe that giving my students choice and options in their seating allows them to take more ownership of their learning. The different options in seating that I am requesting will allow a flexible learning space in our classroom.
With flexible seating students are more focused and their energy can now be channeled in a productive way.
It allows them to truly focus on the content and tasks necessary for our classroom. We are requesting a floor work space bundle, comfy seats and wobble cushions.
The floor tables and floor chairs will add more flexible seating to our classroom. In our classroom we currently have flexible seating options and having a larger variety will ensure that all students have options for flexible seating.
