Our campus is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicity. Students come from very diverse ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds; right now, we have many cultures and languages represented in our campus, and we are blessed to have them and learn from them every day. In our classroom, we also have students of different ability levels including gifted & talented as well as special education students. Our town is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicity.
Our students inspire me to grow as a teacher and as a human being.
Students love our school and enjoy learning in the environment and classroom culture we have in our room. As a campus, we could not be more blessed to have them be a part of our daily lives.
My Project
Time For Kids will help my Dual Language students become better consumers of informational text! This subscription to TIME for Kids will be an invaluable asset for my students we will use it in several ways across our humanities curriculum. With this subscription will be able to use both the print copies and the digital copies during the day, from ELAR to science, math, and social studies.
Providing my students with the opportunity to read authentic text on current events will inspire them to think globally and locally.
The most important part of my job is to enable my students to make connections to what they have learned and what they might experience in the real world, and this is an ideal tool to make our class a global classroom.
