This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school consists of 12 lower elementary classrooms that serve 1st-3rd grade students and 8 upper elementary classrooms that serve 4th-5th grade students. We are a public school of choice, in an urban Texas elementary school. Approximately 57% of students are categorized as economically disadvantaged.

Our Montessori school is a place to learn so many things.

Students are excited to come to school each and every day. They take pride in their learning, and are willing to come before school and on Saturdays to learn more.

My Project

Having Learning Wrap-Ups will allow our students a fun way to practice and reinforce their basic facts. Students can practice each of the four operations and fractions with these tools so they can build the automaticity to solve larger multiplication and long division problems.

Learning Wrap Ups will provide a fun and unique way to help students memorize their basic facts.

Each set contains 10 self-correcting keys and cover all the facts for that operation. Students will wrap the string from the problem on the left to the answer on the right, then simply turn the key over to see if you got the correct answer.
