This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low income community, my students do not have great access to technology. Technology is a tool that catches their interests and engages them in learning in a fun and interactive way.

Our school is a Title I school in a small rural town.

My class is very diverse and could use this technology to increase their math skills and fluency in reading. Many of my students read below grade level and do not know their math facts. The iPads will help bridge this gap and get them on grade level so they can be successful.

My Project

iPads provide hands on learning and can help the children monitor their progress. The applications on the iPad will help my students make progress in their reading fluency, vocabulary skills, and comprehension as well as improve their math skills. The best part is that many students don't even realize they are learning!

An iPad will provide access to learning that is not only fun and engaging, but also educational.

Students who are engaged in learning will be more successful and productive in the classroom and have more self confidence.
