Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education elementary school teacher in an urban community. I teach 16 bilingual students who have lots of potential and love to learn.
My students live in an area where they are continuously experiencing life as they know it.
My students face many challenges such as limited school materials, trauma and poverty. Some students come from different countries and struggle to learn the English language. There are also students that may have attend schools in their country, but the quality of education is not a good as the U.S.
Despite the challenges my student face. I want to make learning more effective in my classroom though interactive technology. In my classroom I want learning to be visual and hands-on, so learning will be a fun, exciting, and meaningful experience.
My Project
My classroom will really benefit from an iTeach 2 Mobile Interactive Whiteboard Stand. We are fortunate to have a interactive whiteboard. However, we haven’t been able to utilize it in the classroom because it can not be mounted onto the wall.
The iTeach 2 mobile stand will play many roles in our classroom to help make learning exciting.
The iTeach 2 mobile stand will be used to safely mount up our whiteboard onto it. We will also be able to move it anywhere in the classroom. Most importantly my student will be able to enjoy the benefits of interactive learning on our whiteboard.
