Help me give my students soccer balls that they can purchase with the points they earn for demonstrating safe, responsible and respectful decisions. With those points, they can purchase items they really like. Soccer is a big hit!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We serve 900 students from Pre-K to 6th grade. Many of our students have been with us for the duration of their elementary education. We are focusing on building within our students the tenets of being Safe, Respectful and Responsible. Everything we say, do and teach falls under one of those three, if not all.
Through our Positive Behavior Interventions System, we are striving to instill within our students the need to do right because it is the right thing to do - even when no one is watching.
My Project
Students make better choices and self-regulate when they know they get rewarded for doing so. Students will strive to get their work turned in, show good citizenship and be self-governed as they earn points for PQ Perk Store.
Student misbehavior referrals have decreased since implementing the PQ Perk Store.
Students focus more on school work, achieving their academic goals, working well within their student groups and setting examples for others. Our students look forward to earning points and buying soccer balls. Many students can not afford to play on teams, so playing at recess is great! It gets expensive for us to maintain the store, but we know it is worth it to the students.
