My students are smart, funny, and eager to learn. Seventh grade is such an engaging time for science because my students are willing to, as Ms. Frizzle says, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!"
I work with around 170 7th grade students who come from all over the city.
Many of my students have a strong passion for the arts and technology. In my classroom, I try to appeal to both of those interests. My students are constantly creating, designing, and sharing their work with their classmates, the school, and the community.
My Project
So, in the rush of creating my project for the First Million Celebration, I forgot the essential component to my project... The Rug! So, this campaign is tagging onto the just funded project, Settle in With Learning. I am grateful that I will soon have the comfortable pillows and chairs, but where are my students going to sit... on the floor?
This rug will serve as the focal point in the classroom.
I am taking advantage of this project and am also adding another comfortable chair for my students to sit on. I can't wait to increase the flexible seating options in my classroom.
