Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Many of our students come to school for the first time with unmet needs. Our special needs student sometimes require materials that we do not regularly have in a pre-k classroom.

We are asking for a variety of sensory materials, such as brushes, fidgets, ribbons, and squish balls.

It all made sense to me that these supplies are crucial to the well being of my students with special needs.

Having a son with special needs, I became educated on what works best for children with sensory issues. I want my students to have access to the same materials and supplies that made a world of difference for my son!
