My students need an iPad and case to be able to connect with the world in new ways- engaging with technology while building literacy and reading skills

My Students

My students are a lively and energetic group of second graders who are all so different in the ways that they are able to learn. They are all hard workers, and they want to learn through hands-on activities!

Several of my students do not have the resources at home that are needed to help them grow in their reading and math.

Most of the students also don't have the opportunity to use engaging forms of technology at home. With this being said, the students don't get an opportunity to interact on the iPad as much as I would like them to. Giving them access to literacy and math apps on the iPad would allow them to practice their reading and math skills in a fun and interactive way!

My Project

My goal for this project is to make practicing literacy and comprehension skills fun through engaging and interactive activities on the iPad. Children are so interested in all types of technology, and it is my goal for my kids to want to make reading a part of their everyday life.

By exposing them at school, we will be giving them a chance to succeed with technology as they encounter it in school and life.

Also, students learn better when they are engaged in the activity they are doing. By giving them iPads to learn with, they will be more engaged and will learn more!
