My Students

We use a growth mindset and believe in the power of yet! We learn new things each day, and even if it is hard, we can get there with practice and a positive attitude. I love how hard they work each day, especially those who are working to learn English!

We are a diverse class of now 25 students with 13 English language learners.

We speak Uzbek, Arabic, Mongolian, Russian, and Chinese! My students love to learn by playing math workshop games, discussing books in book clubs, and giving advice on personal narratives.

My Project

Because we have so many students, finding time for everyone to use the playground is difficult. Our third graders love getting fresh air but don't have a separate playground just for them. While they play creative games like sharks and minnows or hunt for cool rocks, it would be awesome to give them new equipment to use.

We have a large basketball court, tennis court, and field, so there is plenty of space!

With your support, we can have fun making chalk drawings, having a competitive game of 3-on-3, or see who can skip-n-hop the longest. Our afternoons are full of reading, writing, and content time, so please consider helping us use our energy in fun, cooperative ways with this awesome equipment!
