This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very energetic and have lots on their minds when coming to school each day. Many of them are English Language learners. They are often teaching me while I am teaching them. All of our students walk to school (no buses) because of the tight/loving community surrounding our campus. Many community members have multiple people living in one apartment at a time, so school is a wonderful space for them to be themselves. My students love to learn and are eager to get into the classroom to see what adventures it holds.

My Project

Although reading and math are very important subject in school, deep down, we all know the kids are just wanting to get to recess and PE time! PE is a really big deal in my class. We play dodgeball, kickball, four square, and tetherball. However, my dodgeballs are getting tired and my bases for kickball are starting to fall apart. If you funded my project, my students ad I would be so grateful to have new supplies for PE. Additionally, the other balls the students can use during recess. My students are 10 and 11, so they are creating some of the most important memories in their lives in my class. Thank you for considering to donate!
