I have the pleasure of teaching 18 first graders. The majority of them come from low-income homes that limit learning experiences available to them. My goal as an educator is to enrich their lives as much as possible.
My students are hard workers who persevere through their most challenging tasks-becoming strong readers and mathematicians.

My Project
My students have limited access to their online individualized lessons that are used for intervention, remediation, and enrichment.
These iPads and accessories would allow more students to access their personalized lessons and help them grow as readers and mathematicians.
Some of our existing technology is old, or non-compatible with the iReady program, among other apps. New iPads would allow us to utilize online instruction, but also help us complete research projects in the classroom. Teaching in the 21st-century requires teaching technologically literate students. This project would not only grow readers and mathematicians but also tech-literate students who are the leaders of tomorrow.
