iQuestion, iExplore, iLearn through iPads
My students need 5 iPads and protective iPad cases to help drive a STEM oriented classroom.
How many languages did you learn in elementary school? My students are currently learning how to read, write, and speak in English and Spanish in the Dual Language Immersion program.
Between my two classes, I have over 40 students who spend half of their day with me learning in English and they spend the other half of the day in Spanish.
In class, diversity is something that is valued. The students are engulfed in many different cultures and learn to understand and respect other ways of life. My students come from various parts of the world and a majority of them are learning English as a second language. Our school is a Title I school, which means many of the students come from low-income living situations. Over 90% of our school is on free or reduced lunch. However, these students don't let their background hold them back. They have a thirst for knowledge and want to make a better future for themselves.
Technology is something our students don't have access to on a regular basis. Therefore, I want to give students more opportunities to expand their learning through apps and other programs on an iPad. There are various apps and programs that can help students explore and expand their thinking and learning in mathematics and language arts. Furthermore, others apps can be purchased to help reinforce science and social studies.
Donations to this project will help our class be STEM oriented by giving us access to more technology and other ways to reinforce and expand our learning in language arts, mathematics, science, etc.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
