This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Broken tape recorder and CD players is no way for my students to improve their reading fluency and comprehension.

I work with third through fifth grade students.

I work with students with autism, specific learning disabilities, and speech/language impairments. A large percentage of our students are eligible for free or reduced lunch and are English Language Learners.

My Project

My students can definitely benefit from using the iPod touch in my classroom. This piece of technology will allow them to gain more practice with reading concepts. I will be able to reteach essential reading concepts in a different and exciting way so that my students will better understand them. With these 4 iPod touch, my students can use technology that is new and function-able. They will be given an opportunity to listen to passages at their individual reading level and then practice their fluency. They will also be able to answer questions related to the passages.

Please help my students have access to the use the iPod touch.

It will help them compete in a world that is full of technology. I know that having these iPods in my classroom will enhance their reading skills now and in the future.
