My students need three additional iPads and two new cases for our two previously donated iPads so they can all use technology while learning in our classroom.
My students are special, little minds who receive special education services in the areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Functional Skills and Social Skills. During their day, they visit my classroom for additional support when needed. We work on many different things from all grade levels, Kindergarten to 5th grade.
They are nothing shy of amazing and always continue to surprise me daily.
Due to the location of our school, many of my students fall within the category of low socioeconomic status but their economic status does not hold them back from achieving greatness. Being able to supply them with the proper tools to react to their own personal frustrations will be a great addition to their understanding and application of academic content.
My Project
We are limited to two iPads within my classroom (which have both been donated previously). I cannot have the students use them as a station due to the fact that they cannot all have one at once. By having five total iPads in our classroom, I can have each group of kiddos work on them at one time.
Technology is a huge part of education now a days and by having iPads in our classroom, my students can be successful!
It is very important to me to incorporate educational games, apps that allow my students to access ELA and Mathematics materials along with apps that allow for their creative sides come out.
