My Students

I teach 50 curious, intelligent, hard working, goal setting students wonderful and exciting English Language Arts. They thrive on hands-on authentic learning opportunities. My students are eager to learn and welcome any new learning style and experience with excitement and gratification. Our classroom is a very comfortable and engaging environment because of the positivity, eagerness, and efforts of each and every student. My students are excited to be able to learn skills in a way that are individualized and apply prior knowledge to further their education. We are hopeful that the possibility of integrating more technology based learning becomes a reality in our classroom.

My Project

As technology keeps pushing forward, worksheets and textbooks are becoming a thing of the past. Technology creates an innovative and engaging path for an authentic and realistic education. With iPads, my students would be able to use apps to support subject skills and provide an assessment opportunity without stress and/or anxiety. Students would be able to use resources, in which they are already familiar with, to continue to develop and build on the foundation of knowledge they possess. Students would be able to practice skills using apps and web based resources that aren’t available otherwise. With the future of the world in our classrooms and the widespread growth of technology, my students would greatly benefit from the opportunity to keep up with the latest learning tools and resources and relate to topics and skills in a fun, energizing and applicable way.
