Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have one of the most wonderful group of students! They are sweet, kind, responsible, hardworking, and curious learners.
Our school is a low-income school in a low-income neighborhood where resources are scarce.
The school does the best they can to provide all necessary tools, but it never quite seems to be enough.
My students are a diverse group of students who come together to create a wonderful learning community. Over half of the students in my class are English language learners and all students bring a unique perspective to the classroom. They deserve nothing but the very best!
My Project
The students in my classroom have a wide range of educational needs, especially when it comes to math. Our school has invested in some great online resources for students, but we don't have enough devices in the classroom to allow students regular access to the resources.
With more devices in the classroom, students would be able to have more frequent turns on the iPads and would be able to get an extra boost in their learning.
Also, when our school devices break they can take forever to get back or we might not get them back at all. I would love for our class to have enough devices that one being fixed wouldn't cause such a negative impact for my students.
