My students need two more iPads to help keep them engaged and challenged. They also need a charging station and protective cases to keep the iPads safe.
Our school is located on a Native American Reservation. Most of my students come from generational poverty, which can bring trauma. Every year, I do my best to create a classroom family where each child feels safe, successful, and loved.

My students start each day eager to learn, create, and explore. My job, as their teacher, is to help each child reach their full potential. My students excel with hands on activities that engage them. That is why I do my best to find engaging lessons that will help them grow personally and academically, so that they can develop a better understanding of the world around them.
My Project
For years now, my students have had tablets that we share with other classrooms. In the beginning of each school year, the children are so excited to explore and use them, but they quickly learn that these tablets are not fun or efficient. They are very lucky if they pick a devise that turns on, holds a charge, or can connect to the internet. Most of their time is waisted on trying to get the tablet to work, which is very frustrating.

Thanks to the help of donorschoose.org, we will have two new iPads next school year. It would be wonderful if we could raise enough money to purchase two more iPads. With four iPads, that would give each child at a small group station an opportunity to use apps specifically created to help develop both their reading and math skills.
We are also asking for protective cases and a charging station to help keep our new iPads safe. Thank you for taking an interest in our project!
